Central Florida’s Guide to Farmer’s Markets


farmers-marketsShopping at a local Farmer’s Market can be fun, productive, supportive and a great opportunity to purchase good food. From fresh organic fruits and vegetables to fresh from the farm products, consider checking out your local farmer’s market in Central Florida.

Why?

1. You can find cheaper foods that you might at the grocery store.

2. You’re helping the local economy and putting money right in the pockets of those that live here.

3. You could be purchasing foods with less chemicals and pesticides.

Clermont

Downtown Clermont Farmer’s Market

When: Weekly on Sunday

Where: 685 Montrose Street, Downtown Clermont

Time: 9am-2pm May-October; 9am-2pm November-April

Details:  Farm-fresh produce (organic, aquaponic, conventional); expert knife sharpening; delicious homemade edibles of all sorts; quality and affordable handmade crafts for infants to elderly — and for pets, too! You’ll find a great selection of jams, jellies and honey including Orange Blossom, Tupelo, Clover and other varieties – and some include the honey comb! Kissimmee Valley Farmers Market

Lake County

Lake County Farmers Market

When: Weekly on Thursday (except holidays)

Where: Lake County Expo Center/Fairgrounds located at 2101 County Road 452, Eustis

Maitland

Maitland Farmer’s Market

When: Weekly on Sundays

Where: Lake Lily Park, at the intersection of Maitland Ave and 17-92 in Maitland

Time: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m

Details:  Free on-site parking is available in two lots. Additional free parking is located at the Maitland Public Library lot located at the intersection of Maitland Ave and Ventris Ave and at Seacoast Bank on Ventris Ave between Maitland Ave and 17-92.

Mt. Dora

Mount Dora Village Market

When: Weekly on Sundays

Where: Located in lakefront Elizabeth Evans Park at the south end of Donnelly St.

Time: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m

Orlando Farmer’s Market-Lake Eola

Details: As the Orlando Farmer’s Market enters its twenty-fifth year, it is growing leaps and bounds as it continues adding many new vendors. Winter Park Farmer’s Market

Details: The Winter Park Farmers’ Market is held at the old train depot, located at 200 West New England Avenue, that has been restored into an historical landmark that hosts this NUMBER ONE produce and plant market in Central Florida. The market takes place every Saturday morning from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is a popular community gathering place that provides fine produce, plants, baked goods and so much more. Please note: The Winter Park Farmers’ Market is closed each year on the third Saturday in March due to the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival.
