Games for Physically Challenged Youth

Games for Physically Challenged Youth – City of Ocoee is hosting its annual Big Orange Games on April 29th at 8:45am at Ocoee High School, 1925 Ocoee Crown Point Pkwy.

Games for Physically Challenged Youth

City of Ocoee Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the Big Orange Games which gives physically challenged youth an opportunity to participate in sporting events where they can show that ‘disabled’ does not mean ‘unable’.

They showcase their skills in a fun environment with the support of their friends, family, volunteers and staff.  The City of Ocoee is the only municipality in Central Florida to host an event like the Big Orange Games.  The city has sponsored the competition for more than 10 years.

Athletes will compete in the following track and field events:  60, 100, 220, 440 and 880-yard dash, club throw, discus, shot put, softball throw and long jump.

An awards ceremony will be held at the end of the competition. For more information, contact the Ocoee Parks and Recreation Department at 407-905-3180 or visit their site by clicking here.
