Mother’s Day Orlando 2017 – This Mother’s Day Events Guide is a list of things to do with kids in Central Florida with and for mom! These events are a great way to celebrate with mom. Below are some events coming up for Mother’s Day, but we will update this Guide with more…be sure to check back often!

Mother’s Day is a fun time in Orlando with all the events going on to celebrate mom. From brunches to dinner to Mommy and me times, check out all that we could uncover for you below.
No matter what you choose to do, we hope you enjoy some fun with your family in the Central Florida area! Be sure to check our daily calendars of events every day when you’re looking for something fun to do!

1- Enjoy the Butterfly Encounter at Lukas Nursery. This is a beautiful 4,000 square foot conservatory with butterflies that you can interact with. 1909 Slavia Road in Oviedo; 407-365-6163; Butterfly Encounter open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. daily; $6 general admission, free for children 3 and under. 2- Enjoy a Spa Day by yourself or with the family! Check Groupon for some great deals!
3- Head to I’Drive. There’s something for everyone! Fun Spot, WonderWorks, outlet malls, restaurants, movie theaters, spas, and more! Be a tourist for the day.
4- Check out Medieval Times. They have a Mom is Free offer by using promo code MOM17 and a package upgrade is available with surprises for Mom. Click here to get more information.
5- Take the family to Epcot for the Flower and Garden Festival.
6- Head to the beach for the day! It’s usually perfect weather for a relaxing day in the waves!
7- Head to brunch, lunch or dinner. There are a few options below and we’ll continue to add more for you!
8- Head to the Seven Seas Food Festival at Sea World.
9- Head to Brunch and the movies! Enzian Theater. Be serenaded by a live band during brunch and then watch the classic musical Funny Face with Audrey Hepburn!
10- Check out Air BNB and take mom for a stay-cation weekend in Central Florida. Getting out of your home allows moms to relax without seeing constant TO-DO’s around the house!
11- Float through the canals and lush landscape of Winter Park’s waterways on a tranquil Scenic Boat Tour ($14 for adults) or rent one of the iconic swan paddle boats at Lake Eola ($15 per half hour).
12- Spend Mother’s Day at the Orlando Farmers Market at Lake Eola Park featuring fresh flowers, art, food and a beer and wine garden.
13- See Central Florida from above on the Orlando Eye (starts at $22.50 per person). See the Mother’s Day Special below.

15. Mother’s Day Tea at The Kids Cooking Connection. Moms deserve a little pampering. Kids are dropped off at 9:30 at the class, while mom can go next door to Indigo Spa to enjoy complimentary chair massages and fruit infused water. Then return at 10:30 to enjoy tea and other tasty treats with your child. Cost is $40 for ages 4-10 from 9:30-11:30am.
16. Head to the Zoo! Celebrate Mother’s Day at the Central Florida Zoo. Free admission for moms and grandmas with a paid admission on May 14th!
17. Southern Hill Farms in Clermont is having a Mother’s Day Celebration. Join them for some blueberry picking, blueberry pancakes on Mother’s Day, live music, food trucks, rides on Blueberry Express. Mimimal cost for Express but entry to the farm is free.
18. Mom’s get in free to Pirate’s Dinner Adventure.
Enjoy Leu Gardens free for Moms – May 14th
Enjoy this special day with your mom in the beautiful 50-acre gardens. FREE Admission for Moms, stroll the winding pathways and discover all the amazing gardens including Florida’s largest rose garden which is in full bloom during the month of May. Stop by the historic Leu House to take a tour of the home and learn about the families that once lived here.
Garden Admission: $10 adult and $3 child (5 – 17 years of age) and Free for Moms on this special day.
Sugarbuzz Dezert Company and Peak Season Pops will be selling delicious treats!
They ask that guests bringing food please enjoy their meals near our main building. Our shaded patio is available for your use, first come first serve. No coolers. Due to littering we do not allow picnics in the main garden areas.
Mother’s Appreciation Day at University Chick-fil-A – Friday, May 12th

Enjoy SAK Comedy Club for free for Moms. Mother’s Day Orlando 2017
It’s our tradition every Mother’s Day to treat Mom to a free SAK show, and this year, we have three showtimes to choose from! Come see our best and brightest performers improvise a comedy show for Mom and the whole family. This is typically a sellout show, so make sure to purchase tickets in advance.
The ticket prices for this show are as follows:
General Admission: $17.00 USD
Admission for Mom (It’s free!): $0.00 – Mom gets in for free. Awesome, right?!
Admission for Mom + Special Mention: $20.00 – You provide a picture and a message and we’ll include it in our special Mother’s Day slideshow presentation during the show.
Mom’s Curl Free! – Sunday, May 14, 7:30 PM
The Orlando Curling Club is celebrating moms this Mother’s Day! With With the purchase of any regular L2C admission, you can bring the mother in your life to curl for FREE! That means your mom, your mother-in-law, or the mother of your children (even if they’re fur children). Be sure to pre-register and use coupon code PREPAY to save $5 off your registration. And don’t forget to pre-register your mom too (though you don’t have to pay)!
Bok Tower Gardens – May 14
Bok Tower Gardens is celebrating moms with free admission. The tower will ring with appreciation during special Carillon concerts at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The Plant Sale is also happening that day, so you can pick up something beautiful for mom.
The Orange County Regional History Center – May 14
Celebrating Moms with free admission to all moms from noon to 5pm.
Winter Park Popcorn Flicks – Thursday, May 11
Set up a picnic and comfy spot at Central Park in Downtown Winter Park for a film on the big screen. This month’s feature is “North by Northwest.”
Art & Music in the Park & Food Truck Bazaar – Friday, May 12
Spend an evening at the beautiful Lake Concord Park in Casselberry enjoying live music, artisan booths and a variety of culinary flavors from 15 food trucks.
Altamonte Springs Cranes Roost Sunset Cinema – Saturday, May 13th
Bring your blankets and chairs to enjoy a movie on the lawn at 8pm. This month’s feature is “The Angry Birds Movie.”
Music at the Casa – Sunday, May 14th
From Noon – 3pm, Casa Feliz in Winter Park opens its doors for live music and tours of the historic house and James Gamble Rogers II Studio. Bring along a picnic to enjoy in the beautiful flower gardens. Donations are accepted.
Menello Museum Free Family Funday – Sunday, May 14
Visit with the family for a miniature fine art project and to tour the exhibits.
Mommy & Me Art at Oviedo Mall Community Room – Friday, May 12
This FREE Kid Crew Mommy & Me Art event from 10:30-11:30am is LIMITED to the first 100 children in attendance. Use the entrance by O2B Kids to get to the Oviedo Mall Community Room. In honor of Mother’s Day, the May Kid’s Crew event is designed to make a lasting impression by creating a colorful kid-made scribble mug. Rustic Journeys is on hand to assist and provide all the materials for the first 100 kids.
Moms are Free with Paying Adult!
Enjoy a Buy One, Get One for Mom at the Coca-Cola Eye. Madame Tussauds Orlando or SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium. Offer is valid with walk-up ticket puchases at the admissions desk when purchasing a single adult attraction ticket. Valid May 14 and 14, 2017.
