If your Central Florida family is looking for a Spring Break or summer vacation and you love the ocean, islands, and everything cruising, check out an experience on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas. One of the largest ships afloat, this boat boasts it all.

While parents can enjoy fine dining, relaxation, spa packages and more, what allows them to do so is all of the amenities offered by Royal Caribbean on this ship. From the Flowrider, where kids can spend all day riding the waves to the putt putt golf course, zip line, basketball, ice skating, rock climbing, a carousel (yes, a carousel), an arcade, pools, WaterWorks (a water playground) and Adventure Ocean, where kids can enjoy supervised activities, games, movies and fun, there is something for every kid in the house on this ship.

Our teenager spent most of his time on the basketball court, in the pool and just hanging out in Adventure Ocean with other teens. He enjoyed being able to go to breakfast, lunch or dinner with friends he made on board too. For a teenager, the choice to hang out with the family or make their own fun is limitless on the Oasis of the Seas.

For our 7-year old, he did it all! He spent some time in Adventure Ocean, but opted to hang out with the family and enjoy ice skating, zip lining, the Flowrider, putt putting, the pools and WaterWorks, time on the balcony, the carousel and more. He enjoyed the ice show and theater performances as well.

While we’re not covering the fun to be had in the ports of call, this cruise journeyed to Labadee, Royal Caribbean’s private island where you can head to the beach, shop and eat (food included at no charge). We also stopped in Jamaica and Cozumel, Mexico where there are countless shore excursions, beaches, restaurants, shops and fun in the sun! When picking a cruise, we like to look at the amenities on the ship as well as which islands it visits so be sure to check out the ship’s itinerary for the week you’d like to travel!

In all, cruising is a cost effective option for traveling since we live in Central Florida. With 5+ ports within a day’s drive from us, there are no additional airline or hotel stays. And, when you leave from Port Canaveral, it’s a quick trip to start your vacation!

The Oasis of the Seas is one of My Central Florida families favorite vacations because you can choose to do everything, or simply nothing at all. For more information on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas, click here.
