2018 Sanford Touch a Truck – On January 20, 2018 from 10 AM to 2 PM, enjoy Seminole County’s Office of Emergency Management 3rd Annual Disaster Response Equipment Touch-a-Truck.

2018 Sanford Touch a Truck

Seminole County’s Office of Emergency Management will host the 3rd annual Disaster Response Equipment Touch-a-Truck showcase on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Sanford Riverwalk near Fort Melon Park.

The event is free to attend, and open to families with children of all ages. Attendees can see, experience and learn about vehicles and equipment used to respond to severe weather events, emergencies and disasters, including SWAT vehicles, Public Works trucks, various fire-rescue equipment and more. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet first responders and register for emergency alerts at the event.

The Disaster Response Equipment Touch-a-Truck showcase occurs during Severe Weather Awareness Week and is held in an effort to raise public awareness about disaster preparation.
