3 Tax Holidays for Families in Florida in 2021 – If you’re pinching pennies in 2021, you can save even more by taking advantage of three tax holidays coming up.
Tax Free Activities:
When: The Week of July 4, 2021
What: You can save sales tax on things like outdoor activities, sports equipment, tickets to museums, state parks and live events such as concerts and festivals.
When: May 28 through June 6, 2021
What: Save on anything that is used to prepare your family for hurricane season: batteries, flashlights, radios, tarps, gas tanks, etc.
From FOX 35 News: “During the period, shoppers will be able to avoid paying sales taxes on such things as reusable ice packs that cost $20 or less; portable radios, gas tanks and packages or batteries that cost $50 or less; non-electric food coolers that cost $60 or less; tarps that cost $100 or less; and portable generators that cost $1,000 or less.”
Back to School:
When: July 31 – August 9, 2021
What: Save on back to school items such as certain clothing, shoes, and certain backpacks up to $60. Computers that cost up to $1000 will also be tax free! School supplies that are $15 or less will be included.
