Central Florida Virtual Camp Guide
Central Florida Virtual Camp Guide – If you’re looking for camps for the kiddos, but aren’t wanting to send them to one physically, here is a list of businesses that are offering virtual summer camps.
All virtual camps require internet access and a webcam through your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Any other necessary camp supplies are items possibly found at home or available for a scheduled contact-free pickup at Orlando REP the week before your class begins! At the end of each camp week, a virtual video scrapbook of camp activities to remember the fun is sent to you!
CFCArts has a summer full of camps planned for students in Pre-K through Grade 12. Camps June 1 – July 2 will be virtual!
Virtual Social Skills Summer Camp:
Our goal is to provide a motivating, positive, therapeutic, and most importantly fun experience for your child. Our Virtual Social Skills Program will focus on developing, strengthening, and maintaining social relationships with peers in a fun and interactive virtual environment. In collaboration with our ABA therapy company, Interventions Unlimited, this program utilizes the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to teach children specific skills required for successful social interaction.
We will be running Virtual Camps and Classes in June, and In-Person Camps in July (as long as it is safe to do so). If anything changes and it is not safe to meet In-Person in July, we will notify July Campers as soon as possible, and will make Virtual Options available. If July Camps are converted to Virtual, or you do not feel comfortable sending your child to an In-Person program once the time comes, your camp fee is 100% refundable.
Orlando Science Center:
Orlando Science Center is offering STEM Virtual Camps in addition to onsite summer camps. Campers will engage in activities that help them bring science to life at home! Students in grades 3-4 and 5-6 will have new topics each week to explore with an instructor in a virtual session and be given STEM tasks and challenges to complete with peers online and on their own. Activities will use materials typically found in a home and caregivers will receive a materials list in advance of each camp.
Orlando Magic Virtual Camps:
Enjoy all new Orlando Magic Virtual Youth Basketball Camps presented by UnitedHealthcare! All you need is a device with an internet connection, a basketball and your passion for the game. Get ready for an innovative way to work on your basketball skills in a safe, secure and fun environment—without having to leave your home!
Dr. Phillips Center:
Kids of all ages can get their creative juices flowing through an array of top-tier (and hands-on) activities that explore everything from improv to singing, dancing and scene study — and they get to demonstrate what they’ve learned through showcase performances in one of the arts center’s professional venues.
Sessions will begin on Tuesday, June 9 and run from 9 a.m. to noon over the course of three days through the summer. At-home learners can anticipate high levels of interaction through animal encounters with species such as cassowaries, sea turtles and jaguars; themed crafts; activities like scavenger hunts and guessing games; behind-the-scenes Zoo tours; and afternoon extension activities for the whole family.
