City of Casselberry June 2018 Events – The City of Casselberry has some fun family events coming up this month.
Dave Capp Project headlines June’s Art & Music in the Park
The Dave Capp Project featuring Frances Neil will perform a variety of music and entertainment at the monthly Art & Music in the Park and Food Truck Bazaar in Casselberry. The event is Friday, June 8, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Lake Concord Park behind Casselberry City Hall. Capp, an award-winning saxophone player, and his band have been playing in Central Florida for more than a decade. The Dave Capp Project has been nominated “Best Jazz Act of 2015” by Orlando Weekly Readers. They’ve played everywhere from The Orlando Museum of Art to Leu Gardens to the Daytona 500. Currently, Capp also plays saxophone for The Blues Brothers show at Universal Studios.
Free paddleboard and kayak demonstrations on June 16
The City of Casselberry and Paddleboard Orlando have teamed to present an exciting morning of adventure at Secret Lake Park with free paddleboard and kayak demonstrations by trained professionals on Saturday, June 16, 10 a.m. to noon. Instructors from Paddleboard Orlando, Orlando’s premier paddleboard-specific store, will provide free lessons for everyone interested in trying Stand Up Paddleboarding. Kayak instruction will also be available for those interested in a seated experience. Free food and drink will also be provided. Secret Lake Park is located at 200 N. Triplet Lake Drive.
Tessa Marie headlines July’s Art & Music in the Park
Multitalented musicians Tessa Marie and Jeni Valtinson headline the July Art & Music in the Park and The Food Truck Bazaar on Friday, July 13, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Both can play the guitar, piano and ukulele and are two-thirds of the band The Uke-A-Ladies. They have performed at various venues in Central Florida, singing original music and some favorite covers.
