Disney Performing ArtsStudents Become Stars of Their Own Disney Shows by Participating in Disney Performing Arts

Students from around the world perform in the spotlight of Disney’s world-famous stages as Disney Performing Arts gives them the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of thousands of Disney Parks guests. Since its conception in 1955, more than 70,000 groups and over 5 million students from every state in America and six different continents have participated in Disney Performing Arts. Programs include various workshops, performances and festivals that allow students to exhibit and develop their talent.

Disney Performing Arts uses the excitement of Disney Parks at Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida to create memories for students in four disciplines – vocal, theater, dance and instrumental. Students may lead a Disney parade down Main Street at Magic Kingdom; they can record their own vocal selection of a beloved Disney film; or they can gain a greater understanding about the audition and casting process from a Disney show director.

Turning World-Famous Parks and Resorts into the Grandest Stages Instrumental, vocal and dance groups from around the world audition for Disney entertainment professionals year-round for the opportunity to perform at Disney Parks. Performing groups range from elementary school level to college level. Chosen groups dance, sing and play their way through once-in-a-lifetime performances.

Providing Exceptional Learning Opportunities for Students Disney Performing Arts offers student groups a series of workshops created by entertainment experts and facilitated by Disney Teaching Artists. Each workshop is designed to help students improve their skills and develop new ones on a professional scale. Workshops are available for
instrumental, choral, theater and dance groups.

Producing Music Festivals and Competitions with Character Disney Performing Arts includes a competition festival where students can compete at Walt Disney World Resort. This festival is judged or observed by nationally recognized adjudicators or industry professionals who provide valuable feedback to each group. Festival packages also include theme park admission on the day of the performance.

Festival Disney, an annual event held at the Walt Disney Resort in Florida, takes place on select weekends from March through May and includes two days of adjudicated performances where ensembles receive valuable written and recorded feedback from nationally recognized music educators. Competing groups vie for Best-in-Class and Festival Disney Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, which are presented during the closing Festival Disney Awards Ceremony.

Once selected, they are given the opportunity to perform in front of international audiences at Disney theme parks and resorts guests.

Over the past 60 years, roughly five million student ensembles participate in Disney Performing Arts experiences at Disney Parks, including more than 30,000 marching bands, 30,000 vocal ensembles, and
