Eustis 33rd Annual Light Up Celebration

11/27/2020 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

On Friday, November  27, 2020 the City of Eustis will host the 33rd Annual Light-Up Eustis Celebration in historic downtown from 5 – 9 p.m. with a specular light-up ceremony beginning at 6:00 p.m at the Bandshell in Ferran Park (250 Ferran Park Drive). This free, family-friendly event will include live entertainment, food trucks, and vendors. Also, expect a special visit by Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Dancer the live reindeer.

“In this season of uncertainty, we promise a safe, magical celebration. Come experience all that our beautiful downtown has to offer, as we officially kick-off the holiday season with this year’s largest Christmas tree in Lake County,” says City Mayor, Michael Holland.

The event will start at 5:00 p.m. with the Bay Street Player’s Young People’s Theater taking the Bandshell stage in Ferran Park. At 6:00 p.m. the public is invited to join with Mayor Michael Holland, City Commission, and winners of the Miss Eustis Pageant for a countdown ceremony. “Join us in Downtown Eustis and Ferran Park as we light-up approximately 400,000 LED holiday lights and a 50’ Christmas tree,” says Events & Tourism Manager, Erin Bailey.

Children will be able to virtually visit and take a free photo with Santa. Santa, live from the North Pole, will be interacting with children using gaming headphones and mics while attendees watch him on a big screen. Headphones will be sanitized between each user and masks are encouraged, but not required. Santa will magically appear in pictures taken by Porters Cameras, Cards & Gifts. Afterwards, the children will be able to decorate a personalized keepsake frame with representatives from the Lake Eustis Area Chamber of Commerce.
