Hook Kids on Fishing in Casselberry

The City of Casselberry, Gumbo Wars Inc., and Fish Florida will team up to present an exciting day of adventure at Secret Lake Park with the annual Hook Kids on Fishing event on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. This free children’s event will feature a fishing clinic with volunteers from Gumbo Wars Inc. and Central Florida Junior Anglers to teach kids how to fish. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED and this fishing clinic is limited to the first 60 children under 16 years of age. (All children must be accompanied by an adult family member.)
After the fishing clinic, each child will be able to take home their very own fishing pole and tackle box to keep through a grant program with Fish Florida, a non-profit organization that provides support to teach people about Florida fish, aquatic habitats, and resource stewardship. Hot Dogs, drinks, and snacks will be provided for the participants.
