Orlando Ballet’s 2022-2023 Season

MAINSTAGE SERIES

Michael Pink’s Dracula

Date: October 20, 2022 – October 23, 2022

Location: Steinmetz Hall, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts

Pulse-quickening theatrics take center stage in this heart-pounding story of seduction and sacrifice. Orlando Ballet resurrects Michael Pink’s Dracula, the gothic horror story based on Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel. Dracula’s eerie world is brought to spine-tingling life in sweeping fashion with expressive movement, thrilling music, dramatic setting, lighting, and romantic costuming. This fan-favorite is a perfect Halloween treat.

The Nutcracker

Date: December 2, 2022 – December 18, 2022

Location: Steinmetz Hall, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts

Bring the entire family for the adventures of young Clara as she explores the fantasy world of the Mouse King, the Sugar Plum Fairy, and Mother Ginger. The enchantment of Orlando Ballet’s annual favorite makes The Nutcracker a not-to-be-missed holiday tradition.

The Nutcracker Family & Sensory-Friendly Show

Dates: December 3, December 10, December 17

Location: Steinmetz Hall, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts

A one-hour version of the enchanting holiday classic is specially designed for families of all ages. Patrons can expect a welcoming, supportive environment for people of all abilities to enjoy this live ballet performance. Adjustments to sound and lighting effects, including keeping the house lights dimly on, will be made.

Moulin Rouge®The Ballet

Date: February 9, 2023 – February 12, 2023

Location: Steinmetz Hall, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts

The spirit of Paris and the world’s most famous cabaret, the Moulin Rouge, come to life in an evening of passion, betrayal, love, and high-energy can-can. Step into the romantic world as Jorden Morris’ original work, Moulin Rouge® The Ballet returns for a full staging. Originally presented in Orlando in 2021, a full 40 minutes has been restored so audiences can revel in the glory of the Bohemian nightlife.

A Streetcar Named Desire

Date April 27, 2023 – April 30, 2023

Location: Steinmetz Hall, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts

An emotional tour de force, this steamy ballet delves deep into the delicate mental state of Blanche Dubois, one of Tennessee Williams’ most famous characters. Williams’ 1948 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama remains as shocking and relevant today, especially in this production originally conceived by choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and theater and film director Nancy Meckler. This visually stunning ballet is a provocative and mesmerizing exploration of truth, lies, memory, and desire.

(This ballet contains adult themes and may not be suitable for all audiences.)
