Free Admission to Morse Museum Events

The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art marks the return of spring on March 15, the first day of a three-day weekend open house held in conjunction with the annual Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival.

Each spring, the Museum invites the community to a series of special events that include free admission to the galleries. It is a celebration of the season’s new exhibitions and an invitation to experience the Museum’s renowned, eternally blooming garden of glass by American artist and designer Louis Comfort Tiffany.

The events include the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival Open House March 15 through 17, an Easter Weekend Open House April 19 through 21, and live music, tours, and more on six consecutive spring Friday evenings in March and April.

Various musicians will play live from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday nights March 22 through April 26. Admission is free from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays through April.

In addition to the music on those Friday nights, the Morse will offer tours of the multi-gallery exhibition Louis Comfort Tiffany’s Laurelton Hall at 7 p.m. The April 12 programming includes a family tour of selected galleries and a demonstration of metalworking techniques. Participants receive a free take-home art activity.
