Telescopes at Trotwood Park Winter Springs
09/07/2019 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
An event every month that begins at 7:00 pm on day First of the month, repeating until 12/07/2019
• What we’ll do :
Join us for a family-friendly evening of star-gazing and exploring the Universe, right from Trotwood Park in Winter Springs.
Telescopes will be on hand for public viewing of the Andromeda Galaxy, Orion and the Orion Nebula, and more! Stop by and see other worlds, other stars, and even other galaxies, up close with your own eyes.
Telescope owners are encouraged to attend as well, and share your passion for astronomy with our neighbors and your fellow enthusiasts.
** IF YOU HAVE A NEW TELESCOPE AND NEED ASSISTANCE IN SETTING IT UP, OR WISH TO LEARN,
Please Plan to be on site at early – we need daylight for this ! **
It’s a great way to spark a new interest in yourself, or in your kids – and it’s free! You’ll find us in the field next to the gazebo at the circular parking area off of Trotwood Blvd (not the other end of the park where GPS tends to send you.)
Organized by the Central Florida Astronomical Society, and thanks to the City of Winter Springs for allowing us use of Trotwood Park.
It’s all about participation, so if you can even stop by for a half hour we’d love to see you there! Keep in mind that depending on conditions and the crowd level, we may start packing up around 10 – so arrive earlier if you can.
Be sure to check before heading out – in the event of cloudy weather, we’ll postpone to the following weekend.
