EcoSaturdays Programs: Join us for these free programs at 11 a.m. on the following dates. Classes are first come, first served up to class limit; seating is limited so please arrive early.
- August 24: Dragons in the Sky — Discover the fascinating life of a dragonfly as we trace its life cycle. Craft your own dragonfly from recycled materials and learn how the parts of a dragonfly work. Suitable for ages 7 and up and limited to 25 participants.
- August 31: Animal Tracks — Where does all the wildlife hide? Discover what to look for when tracking down wildlife including tracks, scat, and other calling cards. Learn how to cast a track and identify the animal it belongs to. Suitable for ages 7 and up and limited to 25 participants.
- September 21: Shell, Slither, and Snap — Florida is a hotspot for reptile diversity. Learn about these scaled creatures and meet some of our resident turtles, snakes and baby alligators. Suitable for ages 7 and up and limited to 25 participants.
Home of the Vera Carter Environmental Center which provides a variety of exhibits and displays. Hike on miles of trails and participate in ongoing environmental programs. No dogs or bicycles allowed.
