Free Asthma Screening 2019
Free Asthma Screening 2019 – On Saturday, February 16th, the UCF College of Medicine and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology will conduct an asthma screening program at the Orlando Public Library from 10am to 4pm. All screenings will be performed by physicians and respiratory therapists. The program is part of a nationwide program to promote early detection and effective treatment of asthma. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 1 in 13 people have asthma.

During the asthma screenings, people will be able to take a health assessment survey and spirometer test, and receive information on whether they should seek an appointment with an allergist or other physician for a diagnosis. People previously diagnosed as asthmatic all will be able to assess whether their disease is under control. Educational materials will be available.
