What:

TAKE 1: On Sale Friday, February 19, 2021

The Disco Biscuits

Thursday and Friday, March 25-26, 2021 at 7:30 p.m.

Admit it: you’re in love with their name (us too). Pioneers of “trancefusion,” which bridges the gap between electronic music and jam bands, The Disco Biscuits hail from Philadelphia and are as at home at marathon dance parties as they are at live improvisational performances.

TAKE 2: This Just In

Due to logistics, Foreigner is moving its two March shows to May 19 and 20, 2021. Don’t worry – it’ll still feel like the first time. All tickets sold will be automatically applied to the new shows and additional tickets are on sale now.

TAKE 3: Sunday Brunch on the Yard

Open-air Sunday brunch events with specially curated live entertainment and a gorgeous menu of Bourbon-Caramel French toast, Chick’ N Waffles, Shrimp & Grits, Bagels & Lox, Yogurt Parfaits, Quiche and Eggs Benedict (cue the grumbling stomachs). Bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys join a large selection of wine, craft beers and cocktails. Doors and restaurants open at noon and entertainment starts at 1 p.m.

Sunday Brunches on tap:

  • Feb 28 – Salsa Brunch featuring Latin Grammy-winner Angel Lopez and his band, Metro Latino, supported by VyStar Credit Union

TAKE 5: Super-Charged Saturday Mornings

Start Me Up Super Saturday

Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 9 a.m.

First-timers and fitness buffs can super-charge their morning with a 90-minute, open-air class taught by YMCA instructors. Thirty minutes each of sunrise yoga, cardio tone and high-energy Zumba (oh yes) are followed by a social hour with complimentary snacks plus mimosas and beer for purchase. Participants should bring their own yoga mat, towel and water.

Super Saturdays are $15, but Frontyard Festival offers FREE fitness classes every Mon-Sat – can we get a woot?

TAKE 6: Coming in hot

The Wailers Featuring Julian Marley

Friday, February 19, 2021 at 7:30 p.m.

A semi-acoustic reggae performance by the power duo Julian Marley and Aston Barrett, Jr., the offspring of Bob Marley and Aston Barrett. Their sound is a culmination of a life-long

friendship and musical collaboration between the two. The Wailers’ new album has received a 2021 Grammy nod for Best Reggae album, and Julian’s latest, “As I Am,” was nominated in 2019.

Jamey Johnson & Randy Houser: A Special Acoustic Performance Together – Cadillac Country Tour

Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 7:30 p.m.

Two of the hottest country music singer-songwriters in the business will perform together onstage at Frontyard Festival. The Washington Post calls 11-time Grammy-nominated Jamey Johnson “one of the greatest country singers of our time,” and he’s one of only a few to win two Song of the Year Awards from both the Country Music Association (CMA) and the Academy of Country Music.

Randy Houser has a stripped-down, back-to-basics approach and a “wholly different, thicker and more throbbing, a cauldron bubbling over” voice according to The New York Times. Houser has four number-one hits and a CMA Song of the Year nomination.

Through Unity, We Shall Overcome

Sunday, February 20, 2021 at 7 p.m.

Presented free to the public by Mayor Dyer’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission

This annual concert will be performed by a community choir directed and produced by Grammy Award–winning music educator Dr. Jeffery Redding. The world-renowned Aeolians Chorus from Oakwood University will return, along with diverse local vocalists who come together in perfect harmony.

Preacher Lawson

Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 7:30 p.m.

One of the funniest comedians on the circuit, Preacher Lawson gained national acclaim as a finalist on NBC’s America’s Got Talent (Season 12) and top five overall on America’s Got Talent: The Champions. He first performed stand-up at 17, was named 2015 Funniest Comedian in Florida  and 2016 Seattle International Comedy Competition

About Frontyard FestivalTM

Dr. Phillips Center’s Frontyard Festival is an innovative, six-month live-entertainment event in downtown Orlando designed to re-engage artists and guests in a safe, socially distanced setting. Festival-goers purchase tickets in their own private, elevated box that allows them to enjoy a concert or film, or take part in a fitness class, while keeping a healthy distance from others. They may also order food and beverages from one of several on-site restaurants, which is then delivered directly to their box. The festival is made possible by AdventHealth, City of Orlando, Orange County and a host of other generous partners.
