Physically Challenged Youth to Compete in Big Orange Games
Ocoee High School, 1925 Ocoee Crown Point Parkway
Saturday, April 27, 2019
The Big Orange Games give physically challenged youth an opportunity to participate in sporting events where participants demonstrate that ‘disabled’ does not mean ‘unable’. The athletes showcase their skills in a fun environment with the support of their friends, family, volunteers and city staff. The City of Ocoee is the only municipality in Central Florida to host an event like the Big Orange Games. The city has sponsored the competition for more than 15 years. Visit the photo gallery at www.ocoee.org to view pictures from previous Big Orange Games.
Athletes will compete in the following track and field events: 60, 100, 220, 440 and 880-yard dash; club throw; discus; shot put; softball throw and long jump. An awards ceremony will be held at the end of the competition.
