October is a great month to live in Central Florida. It’s a little less hot, but not really! While the heat remains, sometimes, the humisity subsides making it a tad more pleasant. However, not matter the weather, you can find some family fun. Here are some events we thought you might want to check out!

Busch Gardens Sesame Street Kids’ Weekends: Kids of all ages can enjoy this Halloween season with an expanded trick-or-treat trail and furry friends at Sesame Street Kids’ Weekends at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. This family-friendly event takes place every weekend in October in the Sesame Street Safari of Fun area and is included in park admission. Sesame Street Kids’ Weekends feature more trick-or-treat stations than ever, a limited-time Sesame Street Halloween Show, festive character meet-and-greets, Halloween Dance Parties and the return of Elmo’s Treehouse Trek climbing area and pin trading.   More…

The Jungle Book presented by Orlando Ballet: A colorful retelling of Rudyard Kipling’s stories with whimsical costumes, vibrant sets, and music that conjures the magic of young Mowgli’s life in the jungle. Audiences of all ages will delight in the spirited adventures of Mowgli as he befriends Baloo the Bear and encounters the larger-than-life Shere Khan and Kaa. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow at Orlando Rep: The season opens with a theatrical one-man version of the classic The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (October 8 – 31, 2021) just in time for Halloween. A favorite Orlando REP actor, Stephen Pugh, takes on multiple characters as he vividly takes us back to the quaint village of Sleepy Hollow, where stories of wonder and spookiness surround the legend of a headless horseman and schoolmaster Ichabod Crane. Derek G. Martin and Jesse M. Sullivan adapted this Washington Irving classic for the stage. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is supported by Orange County Arts and Cultural Affairs. More…
