Orlando Libraries Host Eclipse Viewing Parties – Ten branches will host Soilar Eclipse Viewing Parties with free safe-viewing glasses while supplies last.

Orlando Libraries Host Eclipse Viewing Parties

Due to the position of the Orlando area in the path of the solar eclipse, only a partial eclipse will be seen, beginning at 1:27 p.m. and continuing until 4:21 p.m., and conditions will vary depending on the weather.

Participating library locations include: the Alafaya Branch Library, Chickasaw Branch Library, Eatonville Branch Library, Herndon Branch Library, South Trail Branch Library, Southwest Branch Library, Washington Park Branch Library, West Oaks Branch Library, Windermere Branch Library and Winter Garden Branch Library.

Due to the limited number of safe viewing glasses received, the library does not have any glasses left for general public distribution in advance of the event.

Local residents interested in viewing the solar eclipse safely are welcome to attend an event happening at their nearest library branch. To view a list of event times and locations, please click here. www.ocls.info/solareclipse.
