Choose your house: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin and show off your colors, answer trivia questions and enjoy cool crafts when the Orlando Public Library presents Potterversary on June 24, 2017 at 2 p.m.

Various departments around the Downtown Orlando library will be representing scenes from the beloved books. Children and adults alike are invited to visit the Hogwarts’ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where they can take part in a virtual reality experience with sound and video effects, check out Hogsmeade and stop in at Honeydukes to make a sweat treat.

Family members are invited to create a fantastic beast in the Forbidden Forest, enter the Bertie Botts jelly bean contest and pose for a photo in Weasley’s blue car.

The Daily Prophet newsroom and Diagon Alley will be open and available for your visit and you won’t want to miss the crafts at the Eeylops Owl Emporium and Godric’s Hollow. If that isn’t enough, take a rest and catch a screening of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Potterversary marks the 20th anniversary of the publication of the first book in the Harry Potter series. The public and media are invited to celebrate the magic with the library – don’t forget your most outrageous sock in honor of Dobby!
