Osceola Arts Auditions 2017 – If your kiddo loves performing, check out these auditions for Scrooge the Musical at Osceola Arts on October 16-17, 2017.

Auditions on October 16 & 17 beginning at 6:30pm.
Cast size: 30-40 Men, Women, and Children. Families encourage to audition! A GEAT WAY TO SPEND THE HOLIDAYS TOGETER.

Actors should come prepared with a headshot, resume, and 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show that best shows off your vocal abilities. No CDs or background tracks will be allowed, please bring sheet music. All roles need to move/dance, so please come prepared to learn a dance combo during your audition time.

SCROOGE The MUSICAL Character Breakdown:

BOB CRATCHIT: Scrooge’s clerk; age range mid to late 30s; strong acting and singing voice. 2nd tenor range

HARRY: Scrooge’s nephew; late 30s age range

JACOB MARLEY Scrooge’s deceased business partner; requires strong acting skills; age range early 40’s -60s

MRS. CRATCHIT: Mid to late 30s;

PETER CRATCHIT: Bob’s eldest son

MARTHA CRATCHIT: Bob’s eldest daughter

BELINDA CRATCHIT: Bob’s middle daughter

KATHY CRATCHIT: Bob’s 3rd daughter; 9-ish;

TINY TIM CRATCHIT: Bob’s youngest son who is lame; role requires acting skills and vocal skills; age range 7 or 8; boy, soprano

GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST: Female, age 20-30, soprano medium range

JENNY: Scrooge’s sister; 12 years old or so

BOY EBENEZER/EBBY: 10-ish age range

MR. FEZZIWIG: Jolly kind man. The role requires a good singer as well as being able to dance. The age range is 40’s to 60s.

MRS. FEZZIWIG: 40s to 60s; must sing well and dance

ISABEL: Fezziwig’s daughter; Ebenezer’s fiancée’; 20s; must sing, dance and act well.

YOUNG ADULT EBENEZER: late 20s

DICK WILKINS: Young adult age 20’s.

GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PRESENT: The second of the spirits foretold by Marley. 50-ish; the role requires a robust male character who not only acts but sings as well. Baritone

THE GHOST OF CHRISTMAS YET TO COME: This ghost does not speak but only shows Scrooge the future.

TOM JENKINS: 30s. The role requires a strong voice With good acting and dancing skills.

JOCELYN JOLLYGOODE: Portly gentleman collecting money for the poor

HUGO HARTY: Gentleman collecting money for the poor

BOY with SLED, BISSETT (the butcher),URCHINS (boys) BEGGAR WOMAN, TOPPER, MR. AND MRS. PRINGLE, PHANTOMS, THE DILBERT SISTERS, TRADESMAN, CHILDREN, PARTY GUESTS, MERCHANTS, TOWNSPEOPLE.
