Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time At SeaWorld

There is no shortage of places to celebrate the season in the theme park capital of the world, but one of the best places for simply having a wonderful Christmas time is at SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration https://tinyurl.com/4daed3cm.

The boys and several families from our church school marveled at the theme park’s winter wonderland sparkling with over 3 million beautiful lights for SeaWorld’s wondrous Christmas celebration https://www.facebook.com/seaworldorlando, which actually started Nov. 12 and runs through Jan. 2.

The best part of SeaWorld’s annual event is it’s all included with regular park admission—unlike other theme parks in Orlando https://seaworld.com/orlando/events/christmas-celebration/buy-tickets-and-upgrades/.

There are many entertainment and show options during SeaWorld Christmas Celebration, so the best and first tip is to download the SeaWorld Orlando app because maps with show guides are a thing of the past due to the global pandemic.

Show times change by day, so it’s best to check out the park hours and visit times to save time and minimize you walking around the park—unless you’re trying to get 20,000 steps on your Fitbit.

For example, the Holiday Reflections: Fireworks and Fountains Finale show https://seaworld.com/orlando/shows/holiday-reflections/ is only held on select nights and typically illuminates the night sky before SeaWorld closes at the end of the day.

Held and visible at various locations from SeaWorld’s large central lake, the Holiday Fireworks features soaring fountains, dazzling lights and festive fireworks—choreographed to joyous holiday musical favorites.

Another entertainment highlight of SeaWorld’s annual event is the Sounds of the Season Performance Series https://seaworld.com/orlando/events/christmas-celebration/concerts/, which features special live concerts and theatrical performances. Held at the Nautilus Theater stage, the shows bring the spirit of the season to life.

During our multiple visits, Christian award-winning recording artist Steven Curtis Chapman and pop singer Jon Secada performed Christmas favorites at the theater. The doors opened 15 minutes before show time, but be ready to see a line forming earlier than that.

Although the majority of our kids in our group are older, we did sneak a peak of the Sesame Street Christmas Parade at https://seaworld.com/orlando/shows/sesame-street-christmas-parade/ Sesame Street Land, which features festively decorated floats ridden by Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Bert, Ernie and other characters. It’s best to check the park app for specific times.

All the kids and adults in our group enjoyed snow flurries https://seaworld.com/orlando/shows/snow-flurries/ at the Shoppes at Waterfront. Featuring the sudsy variety, we experienced the “Florida snow,” which typically doesn’t get blown down from snow towers until the evening hours.

We also took a walk through the wintry, watery wonderland in the expansive holiday Sea of Trees https://seaworld.com/orlando/shows/sea-of-trees/. Located in SeaWorld’s lagoon, the glistening forest sparkles to music and lights up the water—with 360–degree views from around the park.

As the lights dance to holiday classics, your heart will soar with wonder and delight at the trees, which features a magnificent centerpiece that towers 70 feet above the water. Like everything else, you will want to check the park app for specific times, but it’s best to see the lighted trees at night.

One of the dazzling aspects of SeaWorld Christmas Celebration is Winter Wonderland On Ice
Christmas https://seaworld.com/orlando/shows/winter-wonderland-on-ice/ at Bayside Stadium.

The nightly show comes to life on a stage of ice, jewels and lights as skaters dazzle and delight in a show-stopping, ice skating extravaganza. With the sparkling Sea of Trees and towering fountains dancing in the background, the show is a don’t-miss experience for the holidays that the entire family will enjoy.

We didn’t get to try it, but guests can also experience outdoor ice skating https://seaworld.com/orlando/events/christmas-celebration/shows/ice-skating-at-bayside-stadium/ alongside the water of SeaWorld’s central lagoon throughout the day at Bayside Stadium. Additional charge is required, which includes rental of ice skates. All guests must wear crew length socks and gloves, which can also be purchased. Guests are not permitted to bring ice skates into the park.

We did make it to the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer area https://seaworld.com/orlando/events/christmas-celebration/meet-and-greets/ at Rudolph’s ChristmasTown.

However, the lines were a bit long for our group for some photo opportunities, so we didn’t get to meet beloved characters, including Rudolph and Bumble. But we did stroll outdoors past life-size story book vignettes featuring the classic tale.

Because the majority of our kids in our group are older, we didn’t Meet Santa https://seaworld.com/orlando/events/christmas-celebration/meet-and-greets/ at SeaWorld’s Wild Arctic. However, guests of all ages can share wishes and dreams with the Arctic’s most famous resident.

SeaWorld is also throwing a celebration fit for three kings. Featuring festive cuisine, live music, crafts and more, the park is commemorating the arrival of the Three Wise Men on Jan. 1, 2 and 6 during its Three Kings Celebration https://seaworld.com/orlando/events/3-kings-celebration/.

So although Christmas might be over, SeaWorld’s lights are still up. Don’t miss your last chance to enjoy holiday lights and award-winning entertainment.

SeaWorld’s Holiday Sale has even been extended through Jan. 2. Don’t miss out on up to 40 percent off tickets and passes https://seaworld.com/orlando/limited-time-offers/.

After all, tis’ the season to be jolly, while saving some money.
