Families can register their kids in fun, educational camps, classes and events taking place at 16 library locations across Orange County as part of the Orange County Library System’s Summer Reading Program.

The theme for this year’s Summer Reading Program is Build a Better World, and it runs from June 3 through August 5.

Parents can sign up kids of all ages up for technology camps and classes to create video games, mix music, build robots, harness solar power and much more. Attend special events at all library locations featuring live performances, science, engineering, animals, arts and storytelling.

Log reading days, track library activities and submit book reviews online to earn virtual badges. Enter our Grand Prize Drawing at the end of summer to win bicycles, attraction tickets and more.

Studies show that kids who engage in educational activities during summer retain more of what they learned during the school year, and the Orange County Library System’s programs are designed to keep kids engaged in learning while having fun and enjoying their summer break.

Except for a handful of camps that require a small materials fee, all the library’s Summer Reading Program events are free to Orange County Library System cardholders. Sign up for a library card by clicking here and register for the Summer Reading Program by clicking here.
