In June 2018, My Central Florida Family took a night off to attend Typhoon Lagoon’s H2O Glow Nights. It’s all the fun of the water park with a evening background setting. With glow lights, dance music, and a cool breeze, this event is fun for the whole family. Enjoy all of the rides, with shorter wait times, get your groove on, sample a delicious special menu, and enjoy some new family memories.

On this trip, I went with my sister-in-law for her fresh perspective of the park and with my nephew and teenage son. You won’t see much of them in the video because they were too cool to hang with their moms at the water park. Neither were too excited to go for the evening, because what teenage kid wants to leave the house with his/her parent, but at the end of the night, both expressed the fun they had and that it was much better than they imagined it would be.

As for my sister-in-law (or outlaw as we call her), she had a great time on the lazy river and sliding down the slides. She loved seeing the characters out and about from Toy Story and enjoyed some of the scrumptious food and drinks available (for an additional charge). Typhoon Lagoon Glow Nights Family Video Review

All in all, new memories were made and we hope this will be annual event for all to enjoy.

Below are our Top Five Suggestions for attending this event:

  1. Arrive on time to take full advantage of the evening.
  2. Get on the rides…some may still experience some wait times, but they’ll be limited.
  3. Enjoy some of the specialty food and drinks ifyour budget allows it.
  4. Get down to the beach for some games, music and fun, but do it later in the evening when you’ve done everything you want to experience.
  5. Expect the water or air temps to be a little cooler than in the day and plan accordingly.

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is a 60-acre themed water park – inspired by the legend of a typhoon, earthquake and volcanic eruption. As the story goes, those events combined to create an inland sea with break waves (Typhoon Lagoon) and a towering watershed mountain (Mt. Mayday) with a stranded shrimp boat (the Miss Tilly) on top.

The park offers water activities for all ages, including signature attractions such as the water-coaster Crush ‘n’ Gusher; the water playground, Ketchakiddee Creek; and the popular Castaway Creek, a meandering lazy river.
