What:
| Project-Based/Hands-On Learning Project-based learning and STEAM are a part of all our schools! Lots of movement and activities to help engage all elements of the brain for learning! Art Integration At UCP Charter Schools – we embrace the Arts as an important part of learning for all students! Visual arts, dance, theater, and music are part of all our classes! Technology Integration We were one of the first schools to go 1:1 – with all our elementary students having a 1:1 iPad or Chromebook! Breaking news….UCP just received a grant to provide our students with their own personal (i.e. for home use) additional Chromebook or iPad! | Small/Community Places (with 150-400 students) that feels like family for everyone! Embracing Differences At UCP Charter Schools – all our students learn to embrace and appreciate differences of all kinds! We want our students to be compassionate and caring humans in addition to great learners! This year, we are piloting Steven Covey’s Leader in Me Program at two of our campuses! Types of Classes UCP Charter Schools classes are generally 16-18 students (smaller for our PreK classes) with a certified teacher and two paraprofessionals. For students who need additional support based on their Individual Education Plan (IEP), some of our campuses offer lower ratio/class sizes. |
