Art & Music in the Park and Food Truck Bazaar is on Friday August 10th from 6-9pm.

Orlando rocker Ensley Riley and her band Spitfire highlight August’s free Art & Music in the Park and The Food Truck Bazaar at Lake Concord Park, 95 Triplet Lake Drive (behind Casselberry City Hall). While listening to the music, you’ll be able to stroll through the park and shop at more than 20 local business and artisan booths selling unique jewelry, photography, ceramics and paintings. You also won’t go hungry as more than 12 gourmet food trucks from The Food Truck Bazaar will offer delicious culinary delights. So bring your own chairs, tables, blankets and enjoy an incredible evening with free entertainment.

Travel Country’s Eight Annual RunYak is at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18. The race is structured so it would be fun for all fitness levels ages 12 and up. The race beings with 2.3 K Run through Secret Lake Park, then onto a 3K Paddle through the Triplet chain of lakes and ending with another 2.3 K Run back through the park. The Latin Jazz and Art Festival is on Saturday, September 1st from 5-9pm in Lake Concord Park and Cuba-based composer and pianist Harold Lopez-Nussa will headline the Festival. “El Viaje,” will be joined by his friend and percussionist Pedrito Martinez in the sixth annual event.

The City of Casselberry is hosting the Track Shack Battle of the Bands 5K on Saturday, September 15. The 5K will feature high energy, live music for runners and walkers along a 3.1-mile flat route that starts and finishes at Casselberry’s Lake Concord Park, next to City Hall. All participants will receive a rockin’ commemorative T-shirt and will have the opportunity to enjoy the post-race “Craft Beer Fest” where runners 21 and older can sample beer. Runners will also have the chance to vote in the “Battle of the Bands” competition for the best band along the race route. First place and top three finalists in each age category will receive awards. After the race, there will be a Kids’ Run free to all children.  The day begins at 7:30 a.m. with a 5K, then at 8:45 a.m. is the Kids’ Run and then 9 a.m. is the awards ceremony. Event proceeds benefit cultural arts organizations in Casselberry. Residents of Casselberry will be out supporting the runners and there will be prizes for the loudest cheering sections.
