In July 2018, we took a trip on the Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour for an hour ride through canals, past million dollar Winter Park homes, and on the lakes of Winter Park. I can tell you, it was a hot day, but we took the 10 AM trip and with the motion of the boat and a cold bottle of water, it was just perfect!

Trips leave 364 days a year (except on Christmas Day) between 10 AM and 4 PM, with departures leaving ON TIME, so don’t be late!Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour Family Video Review

Departing from a boat dock near Park Avenue on Morse, you’ll quickly enter one of the most beautiful scenes on your tour: the canals. At least, they were my favorite! They’re used to connect three of the lakes you’ll journey across. With each lake brings beautiful new houses, many of which you can never view from the road, but driving through these neighborhoods.

We saw a turtle, some fish and we know there are alligators out there, though we didn’t see any on our trip. A stunning view of Rollins College and other landmarks like museums were on the menu for the day as well.

My Central Florida Family gives this unique attraction in Central Florida a rave review. Not only is it affordable for a family, but it shares some of the absolute beauty and history of Winter Park in a way you can’t see or hear it otherwise.

Below are our Top 5 Suggestions when taking this tour:

1. Choose a seasonal time to take the trip. If you go in the hotter months, aim for the morning hours.

2. Bring water or purchase it for $1 at check in.

3. Wear sunscreen and bring hats to protect from the sun. You’ll be on the water for an hour.

4. Don’t forget to tip your tour guide!

5. Be on time. The boat waits for no one and they keep a tight schedule.

We hope you’re able to enjoy this experience with your Central Florida family soon!
