What:

“National STEM Day is the perfect time to celebrate and explore the topics of science, technology, engineering, art, and math,” says Davianys Ramos, education sales manager at WonderWorks Orlando. “We love observing this holiday because it allows us to share our love for learning with all who visit, and it really enhances the WonderWorks experience.”

To wrap up 2022, WonderWorks Orlando is offering various educational programs and opportunities for students of all ages. They strive to offer unique programs that align with their mission of sparking the imagination and inspiring the next generation of scientists, leaders, and creatives. WonderWorks has activities that will appeal to a variety of age groups, with something for everyone to enjoy.

Some of the programs and activities being offered now through the end of the year include:

  • A celebration of National STEM Day on November 8, 2022. There will be a variety of fun, hands-on demonstrations and experiments throughout the building that offer guests a chance to get up close and personal with all things STEM/STEAM. Science lovers of all ages can learn about topics such as insulation, density, buoyancy, origami and more at this special event.
  • Putting local artists into the spotlight with an annual youth art contest. Local young artists are invited to enter the contest for a chance to have their masterpiece put on display in the FLO-ART: Central Florida Youth Art Gallery inside WonderWorks Orlando. The theme for this year’s contest is “Brought to Light.” Artwork can be submitted by Central Florida students, their parents, or their teachers at:  https://www.wonderworksonline.com/orlando/art-contest/.
  • Celebrate achievements by nominating students for the WonderWorks program. WonderWorks’ upcoming WonderKids program highlights student achievement in the categories of Strength through Adversity and Future Scientist. WonderKids is a way to recognize students in the community who take an interest in science or who have pushed themselves beyond what they thought was possible. Central Florida teachers are invited to nominate their students online beginning November 7, 2022: https://www.wonderworksonline.com/orlando/wonderkids/.

“The holiday season is right around the corner, so we’re gearing up to host some epic holiday parties! WonderWorks is a unique spot for events in Orlando that groups of all kinds will love,” adds Brian Wayne, general manager at WonderWorks Orlando.
