In addition to this initiative, the 17 YMCA of Central Florida Family Centers will also be welcoming the community out to celebrate Healthy Kids Day® on April 21. This free, day of family-friendly activities was designed to help kids “Awaken Summer Imagination”. Research shows that when kids leave school for the summer, they are more prone to fall behind in school and to gain weight.

Activities will include games, contests, health screenings, family Zumba and yoga classes, swim test evaluations, pool and bicycle safety tips, healthy eating demos, arts and crafts and more.
