This is the Orlando Events Calendar for kids and families in Central Florida. Orlando is the kid capital of the world and we never lack in things to do with kids in the greater Orlando area. It’s not all theme parks either! Check out what we’ve found to do today (and everyday) below. You can switch views, filter the results, change the dates, and anything you need to in order to find fun family events in Central Florida.

July 1 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

Brevard Zoo Logo 2 e1589383304857

Brevard Zoo is inviting teens ages 12-18 to learn about local conservation with a group of like-minded peers. The Zoo’s annual Youth Environmental Summit will take place at the Zoo on Monday, July 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Participants will be able to network with professionals, hobbyists, and students working to protect our local waterways. Activities include repurposing items into crafty animal enrichment, brainstorming unique ways to reduce our environmental footprint, and engaging in more interactive fun! Keynote speaker Ashley B. Chelberg of Stella Maris Environmental Research will join us as we discover ways to contribute to a healthier Indian
River Lagoon.

A $15 registration fee includes lunch and a gift. Space is limited and participants must be pre-registered to attend. Registration ends on June 29; learn more and sign up: brevard. Youth Environmental Summit attendees can also take advantage of LagoonQuest, an in the-field Indian River  lagoon experience, on July 2 for $15 more. A separate registration is required for this event, details of which can be found at the web address above.
