This film is a part of our Popcorn Flicks in the Park series, which takes place in Central Park, Winter Park once a month and it’s FREE and open to the public! These films are presented with open captions.
THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL
The Muppets perform the classic Dickens holiday tale, with Kermit the Frog playing Bob Cratchit, the put-upon clerk of stingy Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine). Other Muppets — Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie Bear and Sam the Eagle — weave in and out of the story, while Scrooge receives visits from spirits of three Christmases — past, present and future. They show him the error of his self-serving ways, but the miserable old man seems to be past any hope of redemption and happiness.

Lonely at the North Pole, the magic snowman is pleased when his human friends build a wife for him. He gives her a bouquet of frost flowers, which brings her to life with his trademark line, “Happy birthday!” The couple’s happiness makes Jack Frost jealous, and he tries to separate them. A well-timed blizzard threatens to halt the nuptials of Frosty and Crystal, but she pleads with Jack Frost to stop the storm and asks him to be their best man. Mollified, Jack allows the wedding to go on and the fun to continue throughout the winter.
