With book by Dennis Kelly and original songs by Tim Minchin, Matilda The Musical is the story of an extraordinary little girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny. Theatre South Playhouse had the honor of being the Central Florida premiere of “Matilda, the Musical” in 2019. In Celebration of our 15th year, we are bringing this popular hit production back to our stage. Come experience this musical told in the immersive intimacy of our small theater. You will discover a whole other side to the popular story.
Please be aware there are lots of sensory experiences in Matilda including the use of strobe and flashing lights, fog, haze and loud noises.
