Trick or Treat Safe Zone at Orlando Public Library and Orange County History Center

10/28/2023 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

trick or treat safe zone library

On Saturday, October 28, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., join Orange County Library System and Orange County Regional History Center for the annual Trick or Treat Safe Zone, supported by Orlando Downtown Development Board and Disney. Now in its 15th year of collaboration, Trick or Treat Safe Zone provides families with a safe, fun and free way to get spooky with two of downtown Orlando’s oldest institutions. Dress up in your beastly best for a full day of creepy crafts, ghoulish games, a scary fun scavenger hunt – and plenty of candy.

Orlando Public Library has prepared a full schedule of programs and activities, including a not-so-haunted house, a fall-themed pumpkin patch and a sensory swamp. The spook-tacular Central Florida Vocal Arts and Mr. Richard will provide some spine-tingling musical accompaniment in Library Central, and a meet and greet with the Tourist City Ghostbusters will offer a chance to learn about ghostbusting equipment and inspect haunted artifacts.

The party continues at the Orange County Regional History Center. Kids can create monster puppets, craft a perfect pony bead pumpkin and design their own spooky face masks to make haunting memories at a photo wall. Test your senses by braving a mystery touch bin, play classic fair games to earn prizes, and visit the dance floor to dance the day away to spooky tunes.

Trick or Treat Safe Zone festivities begin Saturday, October 28 at 10 a.m. at the History Center and Orlando Public Library. Admission is free for everyone, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Family-friendly costumes are encouraged for all, but not required. Adults may not wear masks that cover the face.
