Central Florida Zoo Offers Adventure for Those with Sensory Needs in February 2024 – The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is a place for everyone—and this February, the Zoo is offering an event to make even more people feel included.

What:
On February 24, children and accompanying adults can go on a Sensory Safari at the Zoo! Tailored for children ages 5-12 with varying abilities, this program allows kids to participate in fun and interactive hands-on learning experiences focused on animals. Supplies will be provided.
Space is limited. Registration opens January 16, 2024, and closes February 16, 2024.

10 a.m. to 11 a.m., February 24, 2024
Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, 3755 W. Seminole Blvd. Sanford, FL 32771
Other Details:
This is just the latest in the Zoo’s efforts to be inclusive. The Sanford nonprofit also offers early admission on specific days throughout the year for those with sensory needs, and it offers sensory bags with items like noise-cancelling headphones, fidget tools and more.
Cost:
Sensory Safari is $15 per child for annual pass holders & complimentary adult/$10 per extra sibling; $20 per child for non-pass holders & complimentary adult/$15 per extra sibling. Zoo admission is separate and not required to attend.
