In September - Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and Other Events

What:

With the approach of the Annular Eclipse on October 14, OCLS reminds community members that they can receive free solar viewing glasses from the library while supplies last, thanks to a grant from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, the NASA @ My Library Project and the Space Science Institute’s STAR Net team. You must attend a program presented by Orange County Library System related to the upcoming eclipses to receive the glasses. A full listing of eclipse-related programs can be found at ocls.info/eclipse.

On Sunday, September 17, OCLS invites writers to the Orlando Literary Expo. From 2–4 p.m., visit Orlando Public Library to connect in person with Orlando-area literary organizations like Orlando Area Poets, The Florida Review, Timucua Arts Foundation, The Kerouac Project and more. Learn about what these organizations do and resources available to local writers, as well as how you can get more involved in our local literary community.
