National Library Week at Orange County Library System – April 7-13 is National Library Week, a week to celebrate the ways in which libraries and library workers transform lives and strengthen communities. This is the perfect month to explore the vast and varied resources Orange County Library System offers to cardholders for free, from new book releases to flight simulators and everything in between.

What:
As a special promotion during National Library Week, any Orange County resident who signs up for a new library card or renews an expired card at an OCLS branch in-person will receive two tickets for free admission to WonderWorks Orlando. This offer is open to all ages and is active April 7-13, 2024, while supplies last. Tickets will only be given in-person. Get more details at ocls.info/nlw.
Two days during the week-long celebration highlight especially important points of library pride. Tuesday, April 9, is National Library Workers Day, recognizing the hard work and expertise of library staff. Visit a local branch to shout out a favorite staff member or stop by Orlando Public Library to take a picture in the library’s newly-created book tunnel. Wednesday, April 10, is National Library Outreach Day, dedicated to library professionals who are meeting patrons where they are, like OCLS’s outreach specialists and book bike pilots on the Community Engagement team.
OCLS is proud of its storied place in Orange County’s community. This National Library Week, celebrate everything the library can do for you, whether it’s getting the latest titles delivered right to your home, producing a podcast, learning a new language or sewing a new wardrobe.
