New Exhibit at Orlando Science Center – Backyard Adventures- Are you ready to step into a garden of wonders to experience the fascinating science that’s literally just outside your door? Visit Backyard Adventures at Orlando Science Center on Sunday, October 1. The exhibit will be open to the public at 12 p.m., following an exclusive preview for Science Center members at 10 a.m. Backyard Adventures will be on display until January 9, 2024.

What:
Discover the outdoors from the perspective of a bee, take a walk through a digital garden to see plants growing in super time and investigate the creatures that only come out at night. Backyard Adventures, created by Scitech in Perth, Australia and produced by Imagine Exhibitions in Atlanta, GA, emphasizes the importance of staying healthy and active by showing visitors how much fun awaits them outdoors and that there is more to your backyard than you imagine.
Interactive displays engage visitors with science and technology and enable them to continue discovering the wonders of the outdoors even after they leave the Science Center. People will learn that the backyard is blooming with science, from the biological interactions between plants and insects, the zoology of nocturnal animals, the horticultural know how that goes into growing giant vegetables, to the mathematical genius needed to lay pavers.

If you have an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) or WIC card with a State issued photo ID matching the name and state as the card, you qualify for a $3 admission per person for up to six individuals through our Science For All initiative.
Cost:
Backyard Adventures is included with admission, which is FREE for members, $24 for adults, $18 for youth (ages 2 – 11) and free for children under age 2. Tickets include access to all four floors of exhibits, giant-screen and 3D educational films, and live demonstrations and shows.
