Orlando Science Center Fairy Tale Weekend 2022 – Hear ye, hear ye! The Kingdom of KidsTown cordially invites you to steer your horse-drawn carriage to an enchanting weekend of STEM learning inspired by your favorite fables. Cross the troll bridge if you dare and join us for hands-on fun! Fairy Tale Weekend promises to be one for the books!

What:
Fairy Tale Weekend activities will take place in KidsTown and other select areas of Orlando Science Center. All programming is included with general admission and FREE for OSC Members! Activities are best enjoyed by curious minds, ages 3-10, though we welcome fairies, dragon riders, and mythical beings of all ages!

| The Enchanted Kingdom Fairytales with Katie Adams 11:00 a.m. | Digital Adventure Theater Traveling hat seller and storyteller Katie Adams pulls in a wagon full of old, new and curious hats. Each hat helps to tell a story in this colorful adaptation of classic fairytales. Fairy Gardens 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | KidsTown Studio Flutter in to the KidsTown Studio to put your building and design skills to the test as we create fairy garden scenes! Sunday Only Patrick the Magician 1:00 p.m. | Digital Adventure Theater Are you ready for a dazzling show full of magic and wonder? Join magician Patrick Adams in the Digital Adventure Theater and experience the incredible illusions of the Science Center’s favorite magician! Delightful Dragons StoryTime 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | KidsTown Studio Let your imaginations take flight as we set off on a StoryTime full of adventure! Limited capacity. Please arrive 15 min in advance to secure your spot. All Weekend Long! Young Adventurer’s Guild 11:00 a.m.,12:30 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. | Saturday & Sunday | KidsTown Theatre Are you ready to embark on your first quest?! This interactive adventure experience is a great introduction to tabletop RPGs. Set out on a collaborative adventure, choose your character, and take home your own mini figure! Make & Takes 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Saturday & Sunday | Club House Join us in the clubhouse on level one to create fairytale inspired costuming and crafts to show off all day! Enchanted Forest Experience 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. & 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. | Saturday & Sunday | Club House Step into a magical scene straight out of a storybook. Visit the Enchanted Forest and you may run into a whimsical friend with plenty of magic to share with you! Harness the power inside of you and help light up the forest! Grand Games & Mermaid Meet and Greet 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Saturday & Sunday | Discovery Stage in Our Planet Swim on over to the Discovery Stage on level four to meet our mystical mermaid. She loves to meet new friends and make memories. Get your “shell-phone” and go “sea” her. While you’re there, try your hand at our fairytale inspired games! Mermaid Bingo 12:30 – 1:00 p.m. & 2:00 – 2:30 p.m. | Saturday & Sunday | Discovery Stage Swim on over to the Discovery Stage on level four to play mermaid bingo with our mermaid friend! Win prizes and flex your sea creature knowledge! 3 Billy Goats Challenge 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. | Saturday & Sunday | KidsTown Studio Join us in the KidsTown Studio for our literacy inspired building challenge where we will bring a classic book to life using our engineering skills and creativity! |
