What:
Oftentimes, we don’t think about all of the resort events happening around Central Florida. We think, “They’re just for resort guests!” Not so! Look at ICE! at Gaylord Palms. Oftentimes resorts offer events for locals too! At the Orlando World Center Marriott, this season, they’ve been offering a Fall Festival and a Spokkeasy experience. They were offered on Saturday’s only October 7-28, 2023. We’ll break each one down in the Family Video Review.
Fall Festival:
This is a small and quaint experience at the resort pool. It’s FREE for the kids to participate in the carnival games like ring toss, pin bowling, tic tac toe, and more. The kids can stay busy playing while the adult enjoy a specialty menu and drinks. For $25, you’ll get 4 tickets and those tickets can be used for menu items and drinks. We enjoyed Bratwurst, a pretzel, Schnitzel, Bananas Foster, and Cherries Jubilee. Of course, there were a couple of Sam Adam’s Oktoberfest drinks in there as well. This event runs from 5-7 PM, but we stuck around enjoying our drinks for a bit longer! It was a beautiful evening by the pool enjoying live music, delicious food, and games.
Spookeasy:
This was a fun experience. First, you have to find the hidden entrance in the hotel (hint: they will help you). Once you find the secret door, you go into this really cute (and small) bar area. There is plenty of seating, specialty cocktails (which weren’t my favorite, but I LOVED the bar), and some delicious treats (cupcakes, truffles, cookies, and more). The session lasts for 45 minutes and is $25 per adult. With the decorations, you’re encouraged to wear a costume too. It was a fun immersive session of enjoying some Halloween fun!
