Broadway Favorites Come to King Center for the Performing Arts in 2024-25 – The King Center in Melbourne, with The American Theatre Guild, the largest not-for-profit touring Broadway presenter in the nation, and ASM Global, unveil the highly anticipated 24–25 BROADWAY AT THE KING CENTER Series. This season will include the following national touring Broadway productions: DEAR EVAN HANSEN, ANNIE, COME FROM AWAY and PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL.

We love the excitement surrounding our Broadway Season Announcement at the King Center and we are delighted with the strong programming for 24–25. Starting with the six-time Tony Award-winner, DEAR EVAN HANSEN, the remarkable true story, COME FROM AWAY, family favorite, ANNIE, and the musical based on the beloved film, PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL, the 24–25 Season truly offers something for everyone,” says Amy Hamm, President and Executive director, The American Theatre Guild. “We are also excited to announce the third year of our Staging the Future mission providing access to Broadway shows and other educational opportunities to underserved youth and community members.”

DEAR EVAN HANSEN (Oct. 29–30, 2024)
Declared “one of the most remarkable shows in musical theater history” by The Washington Post and “an anthem resonating on Broadway and beyond” by NBC Nightly News, DEAR EVAN HANSEN is the first contemporary musical about connection in the digital age.
Meet Evan Hansen, a high school student who always feels like he’s on the outside looking in. After writing a letter to himself that was never meant to be seen, Evan becomes entangled in a lie that was never meant to be told and a life he never dreamt could be his. As a result, Evan finally gets what so many of us are searching for—the chance to finally fit in.
Packed with some of the most popular musical theatre songs from the last decade including “You Will Be Found,” “Waving Through A Window” and “For Forever,” DEAR EVAN HANSEN features an uplifting score by the Tony®, Grammy®, and Oscar® winning team behind The Greatest Showman, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and a book by Tony Award winner Steven Levenson.
ANNIE (Jan. 28–29, 2025)
Holding onto hope when times are tough can take an awful lot of determination, and sometimes, an awful lot of determination comes in a surprisingly small package. Little Orphan Annie has reminded generations of theatergoers that sunshine is always right around the corner, and now the best-loved musical of all time is set to return in a new production – just as you remember it and just when we need it most.
ANNIE, directed by Jenn Thompson, features the iconic book and score, written by Tony Award®-winners Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin. This celebration of family, optimism and the American spirit remains the ultimate cure for all the hard knocks life throws your way.
COME FROM AWAY (March 4–5, 2025)
Broadway’s COME FROM AWAY is a Best Musical winner all across North America!
This New York Times Critics’ Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.
Don’t miss this breathtaking musical written by Tony® nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, directed by Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley and musical staging by Tony-nominee Kelly Devine. The tour is directed by Daniel Goldstein with musical staging by Richard J. Hinds, based on the original Broadway direction and choreography.

PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL (April 15–16, 2025)
PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL, based on one of Hollywood’s most beloved romantic stories of all time, springs to life with a powerhouse creative team led by two-time Tony Award®-winning director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray, Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde).
PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL features an original score by Grammy® winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance (“Summer of ’69”, “Heaven”), and a book by the movie’s legendary director Garry Marshall and screenwriter J.
