What:
Cranes Roost Park is a beautiful park near the Altamonte Mall in Altamonte Springs. The city is putting on some fun events for kids and families in April and May 2024. Here is what you can enjoy!
Where and When:
Altamonte Fit Club | Wednesdays | 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Change up your exercise routine, or start a new one by joining us for outdoor fitness in the Plaza. Instructors lead the group through a full-body workout, then complete the class with relaxing yoga stretches. All levels are welcome and exercise modifications are provided. Admission is free. Open to ages 18 and up. All participants must register online and sign a waiver.
Uptown Vibes | April 19 | 6 – 10 p.m.
Experience the Dueling Pianos Extravaganza Show with the power of two grand pianos backed by a live drummer who will have you dancing in your seats! The event also features food, games, specialty vendors, unique gifts, artisanal goods and more. Food and beverages available for purchase. Admission is free!
Sunset Cinema| April 20 | 7 – 10 p.m.
Barbie | PG-13 | 1 hour, 54 minutes
We are having a pink-out showing of the blockbuster hit, Barbie. Join us for an enchanting evening filled with friendship, fun and a fabulous film. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or discovering the magic for the first time, everyone is sure to have a great time. Enjoy Barbie-inspired photo opportunities and interactive games, along with food and merchandise vendors. Admission is free!
Family Fest | May 11 | 12 – 5 p.m.
Family Fest is an afternoon of fun for the whole family. Focusing on learning, kids are encouraged to think outside the box with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) activities and demonstrations. Features include live animals, music performances, emergency vehicles, fishing, bounce houses, plant giveaways, vendors and more. Admission is free. Food and drinks are available for purchase.
Battle of the Bands| May 18 | 3 – 10 p.m. Come cheer on stellar bands as they compete for a chance to perform on the Red Hot & Boom stage. The event will feature food, games, vendors and more. You won’t want to miss this epic showdown. Admission is free.
Other Details:
Think your band has what it takes to perform on the floating stage? You could be one of the 12 bands selected to compete for a chance to land a spot in the 2024 Red Hot & Boom artist lineup on July 3, along with cash prizes. All music genres are welcome.
