Central Florida Zoo Tickets for Recycles – Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens celebrates America Recycles Day by collecting electronic waste
The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens will be partnering with Southeastern Data to celebrate America Recycles Day on Thursday, November 15. We are inviting residents of the Central Florida community to drop off electronics at the Zoo for recycling. In exchange, recyclers will receive a ticket for single-day admission to the Zoo for each acceptable item dropped off. (Limit 4 per person. Tickets valid through December 31, 2018.)

“We are excited to partner with Southeastern Data to offer e-waste recycling to our neighbors throughout Central Florida as part of America Recycles Day. As a conservation resource, it is important that we do our part to ensure that electronics are properly recycled,” says Dino Ferri, CEO of the Zoo. “Many people don’t realize when you throw out e-waste, a lot of the chemicals and toxins actually end up in our water and air, having a huge impact on the environment.”
Collection of acceptable electronic items will be available at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens on Thursday, November 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. only. A drop-off location sponsored by Southeastern Data will be set up near the Zoo’s admissions window.
More information about the event, including a list of acceptable and non-acceptable items can be found at www.centralfloridazoo.org/event/america-recycles-day.
