April 2021 Orange County Library Events – On April 15, the Mayor Buddy’s Book Club meets to discuss Inkling by Kenneth Oppel. Meet the bestselling author and two-time winner of the Canadian Library Association Book of the year for Children Award. The event will take place over Zoom, with a book discussion and author talk, followed by a Q&A.
April 4-10, 2021 is National Library Week, a time to highlight the essential role libraries, librarians and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening communities. Celebrate with the library as we discover your new favorite book and a delicious treat on April 8 during Books and a Treat.
Save the date! The Summer Reading Program runs from May 30 – August 1 with some fun and educational virtual events for all ages. Registration open on April 1. Visit ocls.info/srp for more details.

Ready to become an entrepreneur? Join the BizKids Club, an instructor-led virtual program that introduces students ages 9–14 to the world of business and entrepreneurship. Engage in fun interactive activities to create a business plan, design marketing materials and pitch your business idea.
Countdown to Kindergarten: Play With Your Food

Who wants to write their own short story? Join us as we creatively brainstorm and write a short story together! Recommended for ages 6–8.
Mayor Buddy’s Book Club End of Book Party

Join Orlando Mayor Buddy’s Book Club to celebrate the completion of the book, Inkling by Kenneth Oppel! There will be a live Q&A with the author. Recommended for ages 8–12.
Earth Day, Hooray!
