Central Florida Attractions Re-opening: Week of May 25, 2020 – Looking for things to do with the family? May area attractions and theme parks are opening back up! Here is what’s open this week!
Wild Drive-Thru Safari Park:
Stay in your own vehicle as you drive on a winding path through an expansive pasture filled with deer, bison, water buffalo and more. Book in advance because tickets do sell out.
The Brevard County Zip-line park will open on May 23, 2020 with reduced hours. Guests will need to purchase a timed-entry ticket in advance and wear a mask when they arrive.
Not only has this Audubon Park botanical gardens remained open, it’s been free! Guests can walk through the park from 9 AM to 5 PM every day.
Topgolf is open with changes. Everyone working there must wear mask and pass health screenings. There are dividers in between bays and every area will be disinfected between groups.
This attraction is accepting guests again. There will be staggered seating on rides and extra safety measures. The Kissimmee location is still closed, but the park on I’drive is open!
Madame Tussauds Orlando:
Adult tickets are $20 when you buy them in advance. You can explore wax figures throughout the museum.
Sea Life Aquarium:
Located in The Wheelhouse across from Madame Tussauds is the interactive Sea Life Aquarium.
This is a 450-foot swing ride on I Drive and it is open again.
The Wheel remains closed for now, but restaurants are open.
Island H2O Live!:
This Central Florida water park is open with limited capacity.
Open from 12 to 9 PM every day. Shops and restaurants are open at 50%.
Enjoy some restaurants and shopping that are now open in Disney Springs. The theme parks are still closed. For now.
Universal City Walk:
CityWalk restaurants and shops are now open, but expect temperature checks and limited parking and hours.
The zoo is open again. Guests must wear masks and credit cards will be used exclusively.
Central Florida Zoo:
The hours are 10 AM to 3 PM every day and will have limited capacity. Tickets must be purchased in advance and groups must be 10 or less.
Beginning June 5, 2020, all three Universal Orlando parks will open. Masks and temperature checks will be required.
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex:
Reopening on May 28, 2020, guests must wear a mask and pass temperature checks. The bus tour will be closed by everything else is open 10 AM to 4 PM.
Bok Tower Gardens:
Re-opening June 1, 2020, guests can enjoy this Lake Wales garden.
Orlando Museum of Art:
Hoping to re-open in June.
After being closed for two months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, WonderWorks Orlando announces that it will be reopening on May 29, 2020. “We are ready to open our doors, it’s been a stressful time for us all and we hope to provide a fun family filled outlet for all our guests to have some fun,” says Brian Wayne, general manager of WonderWorks Orlando.
Seminole County Libraries:
The libraries are opened in Seminole County.
Orange County Libraries:
Orange County Library System locations are open.
LEGOLAND® Florida Resort will officially reopen on June 1. The Resort’s extensive plan of enhanced health and safety measures have been endorsed by the Polk County Commission and Winter Haven Mayor Bradley T. Dantzler and now fully comply with Governor DeSantis’ Executive Order 2020-123. As the health and safety of guests and employees at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort continues to be paramount, the plan includes reduced capacity, cashless payments, social distancing practices and enhanced cleaning regimes.
With most Central Florida families eager to get out for some fun, the limitation is somewhat universal…not too long, no too far and not too many people. Now, the solution is pretty sweet. Chocolate Kingdom Factory Adventure tour will be hosting 45 minute small group experiences beginning Saturday, May 23, 2020 at their 11,000 square foot facility inviting guests into the story of chocolate.
Now Open! Bring and wear a face covering when not eating or drinking. Maintain your distance and do not arrive in a group larger than 10.
