  1. Head to one of our beaches. New Smyrna, Daytona Beach, Playalinda Beach, Cocoa Beach…they are some of the favorites!
  2. Go swimming in a community pool (check your nearest city aquatic facility)
  3. Canoe Wekiwa Springs.
  4. Take a painting class together or attend an Art Event.
  5. Head to WonderWorks, (Video Review), Max Action Park (Video Review), Sea Life AquariumMadame Tussauds, and more.
  6. Head to Silver Springs. Ride a glass bottom boat.
  7. Head to Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures!
  8. Enjoy some time with the gators at Gatorland (video review).

  10. Head to a state park and go hiking or fishing. With the Every Kid in a Park Pass, kids get into national parks for free!
  11. Head to the Sanford Riverwalk. There’s a splash park and fun playground too! Hop on the free trolley that takes you through historic Downtown Sanford and the Riverwalk.
  12. Head to Lake Eola. Rent a swan boat. Feed the ducks and birds.
  13. Find a trail and go for a hike! From Seminole CountyOrange CountyLake County, and Volusia County, you can take a free journey through the trails of Central Florida.
  14. Rent a boat for the day and enjoy our lakes, rivers, inlets, and more.
  15. Visit Bok Tower Gardens.
  16. Visit Lukas Nursery in Oviedo. Don’t miss the butterflies!

  21. Go roller skating. Go roller or ice skating. Astro Skate and Fun CenterSemoran Skateway, or Skate Reflections have some great options for you! 
  22. Go bowling.
  23. Go ice skating at RDV Ice Den or Ice Factory.
  24. Take a train ride through Orlando on SunRail!
  25. Visit The Florida Mall and check out stores like American Girl, and Crayola Experience.
  26. Get a room for a night at an Orlando area hotel with an awesome pool! Enjoy the pools and resort style living for a 2 day excursion.
  27. Go fishing with the kids.
  28. Head to Jetty Park in Port Canaveral. Eat, play, go to the beach and hang out to watch the cruise ships depart around 4 or 5 PM. The kids love to wave goodbye as they go out to sea! And, you can catch some fish off the jetties.
  29. Get a Fun Pass Card for SeaWorld and/or Aquatica and enjoy unlimited visits. Or, get a Back-to-Preschool Pass for Peppa Pig Theme Park through 12/24/2023.
  30. Get creative with a pottery, painting, or art class together.

At home ideas:

  1. Plant painted rocks around the neighborhood or town to brighten someone’s day.
  2. Clean out the toys, clothes, closets and more and prepare for a fall consignment sale.
  3. Redecorate the kids’ rooms.
  4. Discover fun kid recipes and commit to making a new one each day.
  5. Read a chapter book together. Outloud. Everyday. Or, for the little ones, read a book (or more) each day together.
  6. Do a science experiment.
  7. Plant a garden in the backyard.
  8. Get your tickets for the next Florida Kids and Family Expo.
  9. Make a card for a grandparent, aunt, uncle, or family friend. And, mail it!
  10. Do some sidewalk drawings!
