Summer 2021 Orange County Library Fun – The Summer Reading Program continues with more virtual programming in July. Engage in experiments that test the natural world on July 7 during Wild Earth: Florida Trails. On July 14 and 28, explore the similarities between two animals and learn how to tell them apart during Comparing Animals.
Gather the family on Tuesdays for the Summer Livestream Series, which featurea a new special guest every week. Events are streamed on our YouTube and Facebook pages. Mark your calendar for July 27, when we close the series with special guests from Orlando’s very own Gatorland. The Gatorland Wranglers will share stories and fun facts about their reptile residents.
Track your summer reading with the Beanstack app for a chance to win prizes during the Summer Reading Program. We’ll have a huge prize giveaway, thanks to a generous donation from Window World, at our End of Summer Celebration on August 7. A Trip to Outer Space con Ellen Ochoa

All aboard the rocket ship! Soar around our solar system with Ellen Ochoa, the first Latina to travel into space — launching from Florida, of course. Learn about her adventure through an interactive storytime in English and Spanish. Recommended for ages 3–5.
