Things to Do at Night with Kids – Are you ever looking for things to do with the kids at night? Perhaps you want a family night out. We’ve put together some ideas on things you can do with the kids and family after the sun goes down!
Theme Parks
For families, after dark, we suggest checking out Disney After Hours Events to enjoy the Disney parks with few to no crowds. Don’t forget to enjoy FunSpot at night too. It can be cost effective to the major theme parks.
Cost
Outside of the theme parks, check out nighttime events at the Central Florida Zoo, Medieval Times Dinner Attraction (one of my family’s favorites), or an indoor amusement center like Dave n’ Busters, WonderWorks, UltraZone Laser Tag and more.
For something unique, a night out at the Dr. Phillips Center with a fantastic Broadway Show or concert can be fun for the family to enjoy. In fact, check on some of the local and kids’ theaters in town too! On the extreme east side of Orlando, check out Orlando SpeedWorld for some car crashing excitement. Or, simply hit up a skating rink in the area like Let’s Skate in West Orlando.
Check out festivals, fairs and carnivals that take place throughout the year. They can provide some fun family memories in the evening. One of our favorites is the Volusia County Fair and different food festivals throughout Central Florida. Check out Festival Guides each season for what’s happening in our area!
Head out for some go karting! Check out I Drive Nascar, Andretti Karting, K-1 Speed and others. You can even find go karts at Fun Spot! Fun Spot can be found at Old Town, a great evening spot for family fun in Central Florida.
Get out to a kid-friendly restaurant! Check out our guide for some of the favorites in town.

We have great beaches surrounding us. My Central Florida Family loves to hit the beaches just before dusk. We pack a picnic and enjoy the sunset on the east coast and enjoy the beaches after the sun goes down.
Did you know that there are outdoor movies located throughout Central Florida compliments of city governments and municipalities? Bring your blankets, coolers and snacks for some free outdoor evening fun!
Some free and fun things can be found at Disney Springs, Boardwalk Hotel near Epcot (check out the entertainment near the lake), or Chip and Dale’s Sing a Long at Ft. Wilderness in the Disney World area. It’s a way to feel connected to the parks (or catch some fireworks) for little to no money.
